To receive your FREE fully-functional 30-day Trial Edition of LightWave 3D, follow the three steps below:

Select the version you would like to install:

Windows (32/64-bit) 216MB zip
Macintosh OS X 35MB zip

Windows (32/64-bit)
Choose custom install and make sure you uncheck the Sentinel Installer from the list of items to be installed

Macintosh OS X:
Double click the zip file to extract the installer and double click on it. Drag and drop the LightWave folder to the Applications folder on your hard drive

Once installed, launch Layout with the red LightWave icon and the following window will appear. The screenshot shows where your Trial Edition serial number is located:

Please copy the Serial Number and visit register.newtek.com to set up an account and choose LightWave 3D Trial Edition from the drop down menu on the left side of the page to register it. Once registration is completed, you will immediately receive an unlock code from NewTek, by email and in your My Products page. Go to the Help menu and choose Enter License and paste your license.key number here and then restart LightWave.

You now have 30 days of fully functional software to learn, create and produce 3D imagery and animation for fun and profit. LightWave will run in "Discovery Edition" mode with reduced functionality until registration has been completed and after this 30-day period has expired.
