Another LightWave first...
The world's first virtual automotive 'centerfold' appears in the Jan/Feb issue of Ozbike magazine in Australia.
Graphic artist Tim Cameron used LightWave 3D® to design, build and render a 250,000 polygon 3D motorcycle which was then featured on the cover, centerfold and a further 8 pages of pictorial content.
Dave Tracey, another Sydney-based LW artist modelled the rustic setting used for the virtual 'photoshoot'.
LightWave 3D® allowed Tim to create a unique 3D model from a simple pencil sketch as well as render full print resolution images - some as large as 68 meg - all on a tight deadline.
