NewTek is pleased to partner with SPEC to provide a workstation performance benchmark that runs under LightWave v9.6. SPECapc® for Lightwave v9.6 is a native LightWave 3D plug-in that reads a text file containing a series of instructions; executes them within LightWave 3D and records the timing of each command sent to LightWave 3D.
The benchmark is designed to study 32 and 64 bit performance, multi-core scalability, OpenGL performance and I/O performance that depends mainly on the CPU. A full license of LightWave is not required for the benchmark to work, the free trial presented on this page is enough. SPECapc® for Lightwave v9.6 will also run in the Discovery mode that the trial edition reverts to after 30 days.
