Ohio High School Relies On NewTek TriCaster™ to Produce and Live Stream 2009 Football Season
SAN ANTONIO – October 05, 2009 – NewTek Inc., manufacturer of industry-leading video and 3D animation products, announced that Valley Local Schools in Lucasville, Ohio are using NewTek TriCaster™ to produce and live stream every home game of the 2009 football season.

"NewTek is powering our entire video production effort," said Tom Vallance, IT support/VSN producer, Valley Local Schools. "Our multimedia class uses TriCaster for all our live productions, which provides a network-quality look for the fans watching it live online, as well as replays and slow motion for re-broadcast on our internal school TV station and with Time Warner Cable’s Local On-Demand Service later in the week."

"While TriCaster is flexible enough for one person to produce a live show, schools prefer to distribute the workflow among a group of students," said Michael Kornet, chief marketing officer, NewTek. "NewTek offers options that enable multiple students to switch cameras, produce slow motion replays and create titles, involving more students in each live production."

"Using TriCaster to live stream our games has enabled us to reach out to alumni and family members who are in the military or who live far away," added Vallance.  "It also provides our students with a high quality, hands-on experience that is not normally available at a school our size."

With TriCaster, anyone can simultaneously produce, live stream, broadcast and project a network-style production. A single operator or small team can produce a live show while switching between as many as six cameras with two DDRs, multi-channel effects and NewTek’s proprietary LiveSet™ virtual sets. In addition to being used by Valley Local Schools, TriCaster is used by schools, sports organizations, broadcasters, government agencies, and others to provide a new level of extended programming and content to their audiences.
