REALVIZ® Offer Mac Graphics Solution at Breakthrough
Pricing
$1500 REALVIZ Interactive
Studio is Free with LightWave 3D® Purchase
San Antonio, Texas --
February 17, 2004 -- NewTek, Inc.,
manufacturer of industry-leading 3D animation
and video products, and REALVIZ®, a leader
in image processing software development, today
announced a special offer providing purchasers
of NewTek's Emmy-winning LightWave 3D® [7.5]
for Mac platform with the Mac-based version
of REALVIZ's Interactive Studio bundle, at
no additional charge. The Interactive Studio
consists of REALVIZ's Stitcher® 3.5, ImageModeler® 3.5,
and SceneWe@ver®, a $1500US value if purchased
separately. Purchasers of the LightWave 3D
[7.5] with Interactive Studio offer will also
receive LightWave 3D Eight free, when that
version ships. This special offer is available
through March 21, 2004, in North America and
from participating international distributors
for NewTek.
"LightWave 3D is already
the most powerful and cost-effective professional
3D application on the planet, and the inclusion
of the REALVIZ applications makes it a slam dunk
for Apple customers," said Jim Plant, President
and Chief Executive Officer of NewTek, Inc.
NewTek's LightWave 3D combines
a state-of-the-art photo-realistic renderer with
intuitive and powerful modeling and animation
tools, and is used worldwide as a complete 3D
production solution for broadcast graphics, games,
print, web, and visual effects for film and television.
REALVIZ Stitcher 3.5 enables
the user to easily combine overlapping photos
into wide-angle, high-quality panoramas for the
Web, film, print, and 3D. Stitcher supports the
creation of any size and configuration up to
full spherical panoramas, which could be used
in LightWave for reflection mapping or for powerful
photorealistic lighting. Stitcher has played
a pivotal role in the creation of key effects
scenes in high-profile films such as “Captain
Corelli’s Mandolin” and “28
Days Later”.
REALVIZ ImageModeler 3.5 uses
advanced algorithms to extract 3D information
from photographs to enable users to measure and
recreate accurate 3D models with highly realistic
results. ImageModeler also provides automatic
texturing from photographs which greatly speeds
up the creation of high-quality models, and exports
to LightWave's model format.
SceneWe@ver enables the user
to create true 3D environments from stills or
panoramic photos, imports 3D objects, positions
them, and creates object hierarchies for delivery
to Macromedia® Director®/Shockwave® and
interactive Web formats.
“We are delighted to be
working with NewTek to bring this unique offer
to their client base,” said Dominique Pouliquen,
REALVIZ CEO. “Using our unique image-based
approach, the REALVIZ Interactive Studio offers
a new level of accessibility to 3D. This offer,
combining NewTek's LightWave 3D product with
three of our award-winning applications, brings
an unbeatable array of photorealistic content
creation tools to these users."
