San Antonio, Texas -- March 26, 2007 -- NewTek, Inc., manufacturer of industry-leading video and 3D animation products, announced that its TriCaster PRO production device has enabled MTV to produce and stream a live after-show celebration of its popular drama program The Hills.  The weekly fifteen-minute live program is webcast from various remote locations and features live discussions of the latest episode with viewer interaction and cast interviews. The Hills After Show can be seen live at www.thehills.mtv.com on Mondays at 10:30 pm EST, immediately after the program airs on MTV (Mondays at 10:00 pm EST).

The season finale of The Hills After Show, which ismoderated by popular TRL host Susie Castillo, willbe webcast live on April 2nd.

“TriCaster is a powerful enabler for our on-location show, much the way DV cameras and non-linear editing were crucial to the success of reality shows. The "on-line" format, portability and low maintenance operation of the device allow producers to get even closer to the production,” said Jeff Jacobs, VP, Production, MTV. “Placing live camera switching, audio, graphic inserts, roll-ins and live streaming all in one operator's hands make the TriCaster a very efficient production tool.”

TriCaster PRO is a revolutionary portable LIVE video production device. A virtual control room the size of a shoe box, the TriCaster PRO is designed for anyone, including broadcasters, corporate presenters, educators and municipalities, to reach local and worldwide audiences with professional-quality, multi-camera video via the Internet. The device costs $6999, keeping it within the means of many organizations’ budgets.

"TriCaster PRO is a natural for this application because we are able to set up a stream in a remote location in moments, without having to deal with space and manpower limitations, or the high cost of a TV remote truck,” said Philip Nelson, NewTek Vice President of Sales and Video Marketing. “This high profile MTV project demonstrates that TriCaster PRO is production-ready and real-world proven for top broadcasters in the industry.”
