NewTek OEM Products Division
Releases Support Libraries
Provides Read and Write Support
for Uncompressed File Format for D1 Video Capture
Card
Las Vegas, Nevada --
April 7, 2003 -- NewTek, Inc., manufacturer
of industry-leading 3D animation and video
products, today announced that NewTek's OEM
Division will be releasing support libraries
for the proprietary RTV uncompressed file format
for NewTek's D1 video capture card on April
23rd, 2003. The libraries provide full read
and write support for RTV files, allowing OEM
developers to harness the real-time uncompressed
power of NewTek's D1 capture card for their
custom applications.
“We are experiencing a
tremendous amount of momentum in this division,” said
Michael Kornet, Vice President of Business Development
for NewTek, Inc. “OEM interest for the
NewTek Video Capture Card is growing daily as
the word gets out about our breakthrough price
and performance value. It’s exciting to
see so many proprietary applications from various
vertical markets leveraging the flexibility and
power of this card to help launch or improve
their customer solutions. Now, with the support
libraries accessed on-line, it is even easier
for the development community to test their compatibility
with our card. This is the latest development
from our engineering support team, which many
of our OEM partners have expressed to me that
they find to be 'second to none'. Along with
offering an exceptional capture card solution,
we take pride in being a great company to work
with.”
The innovative NewTek video
capture card is built on the award-winning success
of NewTek’s VT[3] technology. The NewTek
video capture card is a ¾-length PCI card
that works with Windows XP-, 2000- and NT-based
workstations and provides the following:
- Capture, edit and output to uncompressed
video
- Real-time uncompressed D1 recording and
playback
- Component, Y/C and Composite in and out
through supplied breakout cables
- Audio recording and playback at 48 kHz using
1/8” stereo jacks
- Dual-standard capable of both NTSC and PAL
in and out
- Multiple inputs and outputs
NewTek provides the video capture
card to OEMs complete with its own software development
libraries which consist of object code and driver
files needed to build an interface with the NewTek
video capture card. Also included are equipment
breakout cables for component, Y/C and composite
input and output. In addition, NewTek’s
award winning VT[3] and LightWave 3D® applications
are available as options with the NewTek video
capture card.
