NewTek to
Broadcast Live from NAB
The Next Generation Tradeshow
Emerges with NewTek Live Webstream
San Antonio, Texas --
April 13, 2004 -- NewTek, Inc., manufacturer
of industry-leading 3D animation and video
products, today announced that it will be broadcasting
all presentations LIVE from their NAB booth
(SL5045) via the internet. The live web stream
can be viewed during NAB show hours at http://www.newtek.com/shows/nab/2004/
“Over the past few years
we've seen a decline in attendance at most major
trade shows. Post-9/11 security concerns and
tighter travel budgets are forcing many companies
to keep their employees close to home. This trend
makes our live 'virtual trade show' almost as
important as our physical presence on the show
floor," said Jim Plant, NewTek's President and
CEO. "We are in the business of creating powerful,
yet affordable live production tools and what
better way to showcase the VT[3] Live suite than
to allow viewers to see it in action. Coupled
with the interactivity of our online forums,
prospective customers can find the answers to
their questions and see our products in action
without leaving their desks.”
During the web stream, a variety
of industry leaders will present seminars and
talks. Emmy Award winning graphic artist Tim
Johnson will discuss his secrets for creating
compelling broadcast graphics for a television
station; Access Hollywood's Rich Helvey will
present on the solutions he uses to meet the
challenges of producing quality motion graphics
and animations on tight deadlines for the very
successful network series; and Emmy Award winning
Visual Effects artist Don McCoy, of Area 51,
will talk about the tools and techniques he uses
for producing stunning work in visual effects
and animation. Walter Williams, creator of "Mr.
Bill" and noted independent producer, will speak
on techniques and solutions for post production.
