NewTek Announces Serial Digital Switching for VT[5] Live!(TM)
Live production suite adds SDI switching and assignable SDI outs
Las Vegas, NV, NAB, Booth SL526 – April 24, 2006--NewTek, Inc., manufacturer of industry-leading video and 3D animation products, today announced a Serial Digital (SDI) switcher option for VT[5] LIVE!, an integrated production suite that offers live switching and web streaming of up to 24 cameras or external computers. VT[5] includes overlay titling, real-time keying, and automated clip playback, with simultaneous output to video, projector and web stream. Post production capability includes High-Definition editing, HD video painting, 3D modeling, rendering and animation. VT[5]’s uncompressed component I/O brings affordable, unsurpassed video quality with four-channel audio.

Switchable, assignable signals
The 8-input SDI switcher and router connects serially to the SX-84, allowing input of SDI as well as component, Y/C and composite signals. 5 of the SDI outputs are user-assignable to any SDI source
