NewTek TriCaster PRO(TM) Goes Dual-Core

NewTek chooses Intel® Pentium® D processor for new version of
award-winning TriCaster(TM).

Las Vegas, NV, NAB, Booth SL526 – April 24, 2006--NewTek, Inc., manufacturer of industry-leading video and 3D animation products, today announced TriCaster PRO(TM), a new, enhanced version of the portable, live presentation system that is based on the Intel® Pentium® D processor. TriCaster PRO mixes multiple live component cameras with pre-recorded video, overlay titles, images, external computer displays and even live web pages with simultaneous output to video, projector, and the Internet. TriCaster PRO brings powerful new functionality to the award winning product line. New features include a waveform monitor/vectorscope, push streaming, and enhanced editing capability.

“The enhanced functionality of TriCaster PRO places a lot of demands on the hardware. Adding these advanced features would not have been possible without the power of dual-core technology." said Michael Kornet, NewTek Vice President of Business Development.

"Participating in the Intel® Early Access Program has helped NewTek use Intel® Dual-Core technology to enable new features and functionality in TriCaster PRO. Users can take advantage of the powerful capabilities that the Pentium® D processor makes possible in threaded applications such as this," said Melissa Laird, general manager of Intel's Developer Relations Division.

TriCaster features include:
• Switching and preview of 3 composite or Y/C Cameras; connect up to 6
• iVGA(TM) network import of external computer displays
• XGA Projector output
• Virtual VCR and picture player (digital disk recorder)
• Live web streaming and recording
