High-Resolution Resource Is Free to All Digital Artists

San Antonio, Texas -- September 6, 2002 -- NewTek, Inc., manufacturer of industry-leading 3D animation and video products, today announced the release of NewTek's Texture Collection. The initial release includes fifty high-resolution textures available for download at NewTek.com. Additional high-resolution textures will be published from time to time; participants can sign up for notification of the release of new sets.

"Digital artists in all types of graphics work tend to collect similar things, one of which is textures," said Jack "Deuce" Bennett II, of Creative Imagineering, Inc., of Dallas TX. "Useful textures are hard to come by these days, especially in large resolutions with good detail. NewTek is giving a great gift to digital artists with this collection of hi-res textures."

Subjects for the first set of textures include Wood, Metal, Sky, Nature, and Stone. All textures are unretouched photographic images at 1600 pixels x 1200 pixels resolution. These are provided in JPEG format, for efficient download.
