"We’re seeing a revolution
in the making as more and more designers and
illustrators add informative and stunningly real
3D graphics to their projects,” said Jim
Plant, President and CEO of NewTek. "LightWave
3D is quickly becoming a standard print graphics
application, enabling artists to create unique
and compelling infographics, and bring vivid
realism to projects ranging from magazine covers,
to newspaper infographics to product and package
shots.”
This special seminar is geared
to the graphic design professional who is interested
in adding 3D imagery to their print and illustration
projects. In the free seminar Dawson, Zeff and
Vaughan, professional graphic designers with
extensive credits with high profile clients,
will show attendees how to build the basic elements,
compose the shot, and design the final look to
produce compelling print graphics for any purpose.
Attendees will learn how to change lighting and
position of elements quickly, rapidly prototype
package designs and other industrial imagery,
add photographic-quality realism to signs, billboards,
package shots, charts, graphs, educational diagrams,
maps and virtually any work that print and information
graphics designers do. For examples of 3D being
used in print projects, see http://www.newtek.com/products/lightwave/lw-gallery/thumbnails.php?album=10.
Art directors frequently mistake
Joe Zeff's photo-real 3D illustrations for photographs."I
often choose to model and render an object rather
than photograph it with my digital camera, because
the render can be just as convincing and much
more flexible. I continue to be amazed at how
LightWave 3D allows you to create reality, and
then manipulate it any way you please, " said
Zeff.
