Description:
We are seeking a user video software engineer to join NewTek's video software development team and help create the next generation of portable live video production tools. The candidate will be a member of a dynamic team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining code for all aspects of the applications. Responsibilities include programming different video and audio processing components for use in real-time video processing applications.
Key Requirements:
- 3+ years professional experience in software development.
- Experience in the product life-cycle from product specification to shipping.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills, with a particular emphasis on working both with customer, marketing and sales teams to evaluate requirements for product development.
- Expert knowledge of C++ or C programming. If experience is with C, additional object oriented experience is required.
- Microsoft Windows development:
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Windows APIs, including XAML, WPF, .Net, Win32 and Direct3D.
- Visual C++ development environment.
- Strong communication skills.
Solid Experience In:
Knowledge of the following areas are considered beneficial, but not required:
- Algorithm optimization, including use of compiler intrinsics.
- Implementation of hardware/software product design.
- Video editing and live production.
- Strong mathematical knowledge is important.
- Understanding of device driver development.
