Description:
We are seeking a user interface software engineer to join NewTek's video software development team and help create the next generation of portable live video production tools. The candidate will be a member of a dynamic team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining code for all aspects of the program. Responsibilities include user interface programming, layout programming, user interface controls design, and bridging with low level code.

Key Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience or significant real-world development experience.

• 3+ years professional software development experience.

• Knowledge of C++, C# or C programming. If experience is with C, additional object oriented experience is required.

• A strong understanding of work-flow design and issues relating to usability and ease-of-use.

• Extensive background in UI programming in a object oriented Model-View-Controller environment.

• Experience with Microsoft APIs (Win32 and/or .NET)

• Knowledge of WPF, Silverlight or Microsoft Blend is highly desirable.

• Adept debugging skills in Windows based environments

• Strong communication skills.

Additional Desired Skills and Experience:

• Background in Image/Video algorithms, processing and formats.

• Graphics Programming Knowledge.

• Experience with XML based layout and graphics (WPF, SVG).

• Understanding of device driver development.
