TriCaster SpeedEDIT Software Installation

My SpeedEDIT license is valid for one computer. How do I move it to another computer?

SpeedEDIT can only be installed on one computer. If you decide to migrate SpeedEDIT to another computer, you can contact NewTek Customer Support at 1-800-862-7837.

You will need to provide your name, address and your existing 6-digit registration code. Additionally, begin the migration to the other system by uninstalling the software from the first system, then install it on the new computer and acquire the Product ID. You will need this new Product ID when contacting Customer Service to receive your new registration code.

This installation package could not be opened error during install.

This error occurs at the end of the installation when SpeedEDIT is installing the prerequisites. Specifically when installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86) which is the file that errors out. The install should finish with this one error but SpeedEDIT will crash when attempted to launch.

In order to fix this SpeedEDIT must first be uninstalled. SpeedHQ codec and SpeedEDIT Content do not have to be uninstalled. Now you must download and install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86). After installing the package you may reinstall SpeedEDIT, Prerequisites must be unchecked upon reinstall.

After install is finished SpeedEDIT should launch without any problems.

Can SpeedEDIT run on my Mac?

Yes, SpeedEDIT will run with Bootcamp, as it is running Windows. SpeedEDIT can not, however, run on a Mac that is using virtual versions of the Windows OS, such as VMWare Fusion or Parallels 5, as it requires a full version of Windows running in the background.
