Pink Scrolls and Crawls from CG
Product: Video Toaster, Flyer
Platforms: 2000 3000 3000T 4000
4000T
Problem: When playing a scroll or
crawl CG page, the text appears pink, regardless of
the color which was selected for the text in the CG.

If this occurs with a new 4000 TOASTER card in
an A2000 computer, this can be resolved by sending
the Toaster card for repair. It is simply a resistor
change on the Toaster card.
Once this has been done, the card would need to
be returned to NewTek to be re-modified before
it could be used in an A4000 system.

An A3000 system with a monitor attached to the
15-pin monitor port, and without an RGB terminator
on the 23-pin RGB port, can exhibit this symptom.
Mount a terminator for the R, G, and B lines on
the 23-pin port. Vuetech (formerly "Prevue")
Technologies can supply these.

A2000/A3000/3000T: The Denise chip may be defective.
The color that the CG text is "stuck" may
be other than pink, i.e. text is always gray or
always white, regardless of the user's selection.
-
A4000/A4000T: The Lisa chip may be defective.
The same notes apply as in item 3.
