Lines in Framestores When loaded from Hard Drive

Product: Video Toaster 2.0

Platforms: 2000 3000 3000T

Problem: Lines appear in Framestores when reloaded from hard drive.

  1. Incompatibility with GVP hard drive controller cards, including controllers built into GVP accelerators. Symptom is lines that appear in Framestores when they are called up from hard drives. One way to tell for certain that this is the problem is to save and load Framestores from RAM. If they are fine, but have lines in them when saved and loaded from the hard drive, then you need to apply the Patch disk for Toaster 2.0. You can download a self-extracting file of the Patch disk on our FTP site, at 2.0 Patch Disk.

Note: if you click the file link and get a screen full of garbage in your browser window, then you are getting a text transfer rather than a binary transfer. Try the link by holding the shift key as you click on it, which will force a binary transfer in most browsers. Alternatively, if you are downloading on the PC, try right-clicking the link and selecting "Save Link As" from the menu popup.

  2. Problem on the computer's main board. This is often in RAM, but the graphics chipset might also be at fault.
