VT4000 Anim Does Not Show Up in the Framestore
List
Product: Toaster 4000 3.1/3.5
Platforms: 4000 4000T
Problem: User Rendered a Toaster
4000 anim, and can see the anim from from a normal
Amiga file requester, but cannot see it on the Framestore
popup list in the Switcher.
-
Is the file in a directory named FrameStore on
the root of a partition? If not, the Switcher cannot
even see the directory, let alone the anim.
-
Is there another Framestore in the directory that
has the same 3-digit prefix, i.e. 100.fs.framename
and 100.fs.animname? If so, the Switcher will only
see one of the files with that prefix. You must
change the numerical prefix to a unique 3-digit
number greater than 099 (000 through 099 are reserved
for the CG book associated with the project), for
the anim to show up on the Switcher popup.
-
Does the name have more than 12 characters? After
the prefix ###.FS, the user is only allowed 12
more characters for the filename. For example,
100.FS.examplename1 will work as a name for an
animation or framestore, but 100.FS.examplename12
is too long.
