  Product Lock ID/Permanent License Key
    Why isn't my Permanent License Key being detected by LightWave?

  1. Did you input the Permanent License Key correctly?

  2. Did you include the dashes in the Permanent License Key?

  3. Is the Permanent License Key correct for the Hardware Lock ID displayed in Modeler?

  4. Is there a blank space, carriage return, or black square at the end of the Permanent License Key? If so, delete it.

  5. Is there a "license.key" file in the LightWave>Programs folder? If not, create one. (PC - Notepad, Mac 9 - SimpleText, Mac X - TextEdit)

  6. If you had to create a "license.key" file, did you put it in the LightWave>Programs folder?

  7. Did you had to create a "license.key" file, did you spell the name correctly?

  8. Is there a ".txt" in the file name? If so, delete it.

  9. Go to Tools>Folder Options>View and see if file extensions are hidden? If so, unhide them and repeat step 8.
