    Can you tell me why a tutorial in a LightWave book/video I bought is not working properly?

We do not have access to LightWave books other than the included manual and cannot ask the author about any problems users have experienced while performing it. So, we cannot help with problems you may encounter.

Many 3rd-party LightWave books have a mailing list for owners of the book to ask questions about problems they are experiencing. You may also be able to contact the author directly through their web site or an e-mail address provided in the book. Also, many publisher's web sites contain updated errata lists.

Finally, you may be able to ask for assistance from other users like yourself at the NewTek User Forums or the LightWave3d Mailing List.
