VT[3] Build 4909 has completed rigorous beta testing, and is stable. Within VT[3] Update 3, there are some new features and numerous fixes as well:
New Features
- Asynchronous undo project saving - Undo projects are now written to disk on a non-UI thread. This will speed up the editor when working with large projects or projects located on a network drive.
- When windows open up it no longer forces them onto the first monitor. This improves dual monitor support.
- Black BG is always selected on startup.
- VT-Edit / DDRs can log playback activity if enabled in ToasterScript. (Important for TV Stations, billing, air-time calculations, etc.)
- Medium quality reflects the prior scaling engine. Controls were added to Control Tree to now take the scaling engine to High Quality (an “11”on the knob, so to speak).
- CG now allows slower scroll speeds, though speeds that are not divisible by the field rate (60 for NTSC or 50 for PAL) may exhibit artifacting or flicker on playback.
- By popular demand, the video “Fade In”and “Fade Out”timecode values have been added to the control tree.
- Decks that have seek problems can revert to the seek emulation asset... to get the decks to work.
- Added software check on VT startup to detect 150-> 151 update
