Midland Community Television Upgrades for File-based HD Workflow

March 21, 2016 by Chuck Baker

The City of Midland, MI, is upgrading the public, education, and government access channel infrastructure of its Midland Community Television Network for an all-digital, file-based HD broadcast workflow. In this video, MCTV production director Matthew Richardson gives a tour of the work so far at the public access production studio and the government access production facilities at city hall. Both locations added a new TriCaster integrated production system as the video switcher, allowing for both live and recorded multi-camera productions. Other facilities still to come include a production trailer that will allow for production on-site throughout MCTV’s coverage region.
