Latest TriCaster Advanced Edition Supports X-Keys Input Devices

XK-128 InUse_1200_cropP.I. Engineering has announced integrated support for the keys for their full line of X-Keys input device products in the latest update to TriCaster Advanced Edition. Formerly, the X-Keys units had to be programmed to work with TriCaster using keystroke codes and combinations. TriCaster Advanced Edition now sees the X-keys as a unique USB Human Interface Device (HID) and maps functions and controls to keys without using keystrokes.  Only the keys are supported at this time; other hardware controls that may be build into units are not included in this integration.

XK-60_1200One of the strengths of TriCaster production systems is the ability to distribute control to a variety of devices by a variety of connections - network, bluetooth, MIDI, USB and more. Automation can be managed with any of these devices as well, so a complex sequence of operations can be mapped to a single button press, multiplying the performance capability of each operator and control unit.
