BlueFish444 to Introduce Streaming Application with NDI® Support
August 27, 2018 by Chuck Baker
Bluefish444, manufacturer of uncompressed 4K SDI, ASI, Video Over IP & HDMI I/O cards and mini converters, has announced IngeSTream IP streaming software and workflow demonstration at IBC Show 2018.
With full support for NewTek’s NDI® protocol, RTP streaming and other network video protocols like SMPTE 2022/2110, Bluefish444 will demonstrate the forthcoming IngeSTream multi-channel streaming software. IngeSTream captures up to 8 channels of SMPTE 2022/2110, SDI, and/or HDMI video and audio from Bluefish444 Epoch and KRONOS hardware, and converts them to IP streams such as NDI, SMPTE 2022-6, SMPTE 2110 or RTP/RTSP. Bluefish444 will demonstrate IngeSTream streaming live video as an NDI signal to a NewTek TriCaster® Mini.
NewTek’s NDI is a royalty free IP technology for bi-directional transport of video, audio, metadata and communications over standard networks. Providing video and audio at high quality and very low latency, NDI is by far the leading technology for IP workflow for video production, implemented in hundreds of products in the hands of millions of users. Cameras, devices, production software and systems are knit together using standard Ethernet infrastructure, without the costs, space and labor required for expensive runs of baseband cabling.
With the design to ingest standard format video capture streams from the capture hardware and write them to IP streams, IngeSTream is a complement to BlueFish444’s IngeSTore, a multi-channel capture application for encoding capture streams to common video formats and writing them to local and shared storage.
Bluefish444 will be showing IngeSTream on stand 7.B44 at IBC Show 2018, with the software available in late 2018.
