NDI® Central Podcast - 2019 Ep. 1 - SportZcast
For the first episode of NewTek’s new NDI® Central podcast, host Chris Burgos interviewed Mike Connell, president of SportZcast, about their newest technologies for NAB 2019, ScoreLink and ScoreHub. With more than 2800 sports arena and venue installations of their scorebot software, SportZcast has a leading profile in the industry. A key capability for their live-score applications is that the data entered for the scoreboard is also shareable with real-time graphics systems such as Vizrt, ChyronHego, and Ross Xpression. Further, both data and graphics from their tools are shareable with live production tools and systems, such as NewTek TriCaster and 3Play.
ScoreHub, for example, can share multiple streams of data and graphics via NewTek’s NDI bidirectional IP technology for transport of video, audio and data at very high quality and very low latency, over standard networks. NDI streams support fill and key, so producers can provide bugs, lower thirds, and statistics pages to production systems for overlay on the live footage.
