In a single, interconnected production environment, where any device can connect to every other device–and every source is also a destination–live production has limitless possibilities. The future of live production is at NewTek today. Get started with NDI.
"Using the NewTek TriCaster in house here at EMC2 enables us to make a television quality production with a very limited crew." – David Ross, Senior Manager EMC2 TV EMC2, a multinational corporation in the data storage, cloud computing industry...
When you are pinched for crew or just want to to add viewing angles, remote-control cameras can provide an amazing cost-effective solution. Imagine if those cameras can also use your available network infrastructure for video, audio and control and bypass dedicated cabling, they'll save more and simplify deployment.
Freelancer Paul Schmutzler has produced a tutorial for Streaming Media that shows how to put together PTZOptics PTZ cameras and controllers and NewTek TriCaster® TC1 in a sports production workflow that can let one or two technical directors (TDs) control everything from a couple of supplemental cameras to the entire camera complement if needed. He covers connection with 3G-SDI, but also notes that cameras that support NewTek's royalty-free NDI® bidirectional technology for media, metadata and communications over IP can be put into action with just an Ethernet cable attached. Video, audio, control, power, and tally support are all available.
TriCaster TC1 supports 16 external inputs of up to 4K UHD 60p resolution without sacrificing functionality. TriCaster TC1 provides:
instant and variable speed replay capabilities
4 Mix/Effects buses
dual channel live streaming
8 channel recording
social media publishing
NewTek’s NDI® technology for IP-based workflows
multiple studio-grade Skype TX channels for adding remote video guests to live shows
